A bald patch right on top of her head!!! It is just completely smooth and hairless. There isn't any red marks, scratches or anything. And I didn't see any clumps of hair dropping off. To say that I'm UPSET is an understatement. Of course that warranted another trip to the paediatrition. Apparently it was her immune system that mistakenly attacked her hair follicles thinking of them as foreign particles. And it may take some time before her hair grows back. Aargh!!!After the fever, babylet came down with flu and cough to the point of losing her voice. And she passed her germs to the rest of us. Now, her voice is still husky and her appetite is next to nothing. Poor girl. Losing hair, losing voice, losing appetite and losing weight..... It's been a tough two weeks for her.

Oh no .. I never knew fever could mean loss of hair too ..!
My girl was having fever the whole of last week too. Like yours, she lost so much weight cos not eating well for whole of last week.

Dunno worry too much...she will be ok. At least her hair will grow back. My boy has a bald spot since young. Specialist say there will be no hair growth at all at that spot.
family first: That doesn't happen to everyone. Some people are predisposed to that condition, and babylet is one of them.

His is at the back so with more hair growth elsewhere it will help to cover the spot.
poor girl *hugs* the hair thing would have worried me as much as you did too! did doctor 'promise' it will grow back?!!!
rub some brandy over the patch...do it daily & hair will grow fast!!
